CONFIRMATION (GRADES 6-12)Confirmation is the rite of initiation within mainline Protestant churches in which youth reflect on their own faith journeys and usually concludes with entry into full confession and affirmation of faith. Each potential confirmand is guided through a course of study (8-12 lessons), is expected to participate in one extra-church event (like camp), meets regularly with another adult church member, and crafts a Statement of Faith that they present to the Session (Elder Board). Confirmation is offered every other year, most recently offered in the 2019-2020 school year. |
