What to expect

Please plan on attending our initial meeting on Sunday, January 22nd at 5pm, either in-person or online via zoom.  At this initial gathering, you will be introduced to your group, receive your materials, and gather for your first group meeting.  After this initial meeting, your group will gather on its normal day/time.

You will be contacted in early January, reminding you of our gathering on October 2nd and we will confirm your group day/time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I know people in my group?

If you have been a part of MagPres for any length of time, you have probably gotten to know other people.  Our hope is that as part of this Rooted group, you will get to know new people and will form life-long relationships with them.

Do I have to join a rooted group?

At MagPres, our mission is making fully formed followers of Jesus Christ.  Our primary way of accomplishing this mission is through Life Groups and to get started in a life group involves going through Rooted.
Rooted is a life-changing experience and we want you to experience it.  Would you give it a try? 

I already have my group of friends, why should i join a group?

It is great that you have your own group of friends.  We believe that being part of a life group will positively impact your current friendships and invite you to become a more fully formed follower of Jesus.

What if I am not able to join a group right now

We understand.  The initial 10-week Rooted group is a substantial commitment and we want you to be fully engaged when you participate.
If you are unable to participate right now, we will offer additional Rooted groups later in the year.  Please pray for those participating in Rooted this round and prayerful consider making time to participate in a later round.

Can I be a part of MagPres if I am not in a group?

Everyone is welcome at MagPres where we are committed to making fully formed followers of Jesus Christ.

Sunday Worship Services are open to all and we hope our worship provides meaningful ways for you to worship and experience God.  

We believe Sunday worship is just the beginning of our weekly faith experience, like breakfast is just the beginning of our day.  If Sunday morning worship is meaningful to you, praise be to God!  At MagPres, we offer more than just a Sunday experience and we hope you will consider joining a life group, because we do life better together and because joining a group will help you grow into a more fully formed follower of Jesus.
