John Wright

Choir Director

John Wright first began singing in church choirs at the age of 5. He has been involved in church music ever since, taking his first job as worship leader in 1982. He tells his choir that music is the “candy” God gives him each week to make it through whatever. “I would struggle greatly if I could no longer make music for my God.” He has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from California Baptist University in Religious Studies and is both ordained and licensed as a minister in California. “I love what I do for Magnolia Presbyterian Church and am thankful that God and the church allow me to continue.”
